• Photos: Images of food you scan are processed locally on your device or sent to OpenAI for analysis. We do not store your photos.
• Health Data: With your permission, we sync calorie and nutrition data to Apple Health. This data is stored locally on your device.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status is managed through Apple's StoreKit and is subject to Apple's privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Analyze food photos and provide calorie estimates
• Sync nutrition data with Apple Health (if permitted)
• Manage your subscription status
• Improve our AI models and app functionality

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI: Food photos are sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this processing.
• Google AdMob (Free users only): Displays ads. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and usage data.

Data Storage

All your meal history and settings are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not maintain servers that store your personal data.

Your Rights

You can:

• Delete all app data by uninstalling the app
• Opt out of ad tracking via iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking
• Manage HealthKit permissions via iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices

Children's Privacy

CalorieScanner is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
